The US Army War College's Department of Strategic Wargaming (DSW) is comprised of the Wargame Operations Division, Strategic Intelligence Division, Strategic Simulation Division and Strategic Assessments and Operations Research Division.
Mission
The Department of Strategic Wargaming employs wargames, exercises, and simulations to assist in the development of strategic leaders and advisors, foster strategic innovation, improve strategic planning, and advance the understanding of strategic issues for the Army, the Joint Force, and the Nation.
DSW has a diverse technical workforce including Strategists, Simulations Operations Officers, Strategic Intelligence Analysts, Operations Research Systems Analysts and Wargame Analysts organized into four functional groups:
